I am very happy that readers are sending in their favorite destinations! Nicole wrote me about this gorgeous place in Italy where she spent her last holiday. Masseria Alchimia is a tranquil, small, designer resort on Apulia’s Adriatic coast. In its previous life, around the 17th century, the Masseria had been a small hermitage. With only 10 studios, the setting is extremely intimate, there’s no town or other hotel within sight. Surrounded by natural landscape of old olive trees, the Masseria Alchimia is an oasis of peace, an extremely pleasant and regenerating environment.

The atmosphere of the house and the surrounding amazing nature meet with a blend of design classics and furniture of the most famous contemporary designers, a conversation between old and new, between Puglia and the European modern way-of-living. Eco friendly, we employ solar energy, control water consumption and provide recycling facilities, offering a valid option for ‘eco-conscious’ travelers.

The 10 studios differing in size, form and layout, each with independent entrance, some with private terrace, others opening directly onto the garden, furnished with a selection of design classics and combinations of deep warm colors and materials.

Having a small child myself I know that it can be hard to find child-friendly places. I am happy to hear that Masseria Alchimia welcomes children of all ages. The residence provide a small playground area with swing and seesaw.
